Pinus wallichiana - pine

This botanical species occurs in the Himalayas, where it occurs in mountain valleys at altitudes from 1,800 to 4,300 meters above sea level.
  The shape of the tree crown is conical. The needles are 15 - 20 cm long, overhanging and bluish in color. There are 5 pieces in the bundle. The cones are up to 25 cm long and strongly resinous. In nature, it grows up to a height of 20 meters and a width of 10 meters.
Demands: tolerates sun and partial shade. Prefers permeable, humus and acidic soils. It likes drier winters and wetter summers, so it can withstand higher watering than other pine species during the summer season. Frost resistance is up to - 15 ° C (zone 7A). It is tolerant of urban pollution.
