In the summer of 2016, we started building a terraced garden complex in Prague Troja.
The investor was interested in a tasteful yet colorful garden, with each terrace in a different style.
In all phases of the project, we were in constant contact with the owner, consulted and consulted so that the result was exactly what he wanted.
Creating harmonic transitions between individual terraces and styles has been quite complicated, but we have done it - look for yourself.
Lower terrace with a pond
We started work in early September. irst we had to flatten the surfaces and put on the quality soil. Then in October and November we planted mature trees.
To plant an eight-meter red beech we needed a large enough crane, a good substrate, a tree-anchoring system, and first and foremost the hands of our smart gardeners.
In addition, the investor decided to build the small lake. In order to fit the garden, we placed several solitary boulders in its surroundings.
There is also an elegant French-style terrace
We designed other terraces in French style. Buxus sempervirens and Berberis are perfect for this. Cutting conical yews (Taxus baccata) and boxwoods cut into spherical shapes in different sizes add an interesting modern hallmark.
We planted the planted area with a small white stone and a lawn laid in the form of a grass carpet.
The terraces on the upper floors had a beautiful bloom
We planted higher terraces with magnificent chamois (Magnolia soulangeana), tender hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus) and hydrangea (Hydrangea in var.).
We then escaped to the walls separating the individual floors of the plot by Trumpeters (Campsis bignonioides) and Clematis (Clematis), which suitably complement the fragrant wisteria (Wistaria floribunda).
We planted various smaller coniferous and deciduous trees and ornamental grasses on the flower beds below these climbing plants.
In the aforementioned part of the garden we have also established a herb bed.
Interesting in the garden is a stone river
Against the entrance to the villa, we built a stone river with a dominant 1.5 m high and 2.5 m wide macrobonsa (Juniperus chinensis) in Japanese style.
We completed the entire implementation in December 2016. And after the first winter we can confirm that all carefully planted plants have survived long frosts without any damage.
