Evergreen coniferous tree, native to southern Spain and northern Morocco. It grows to a height of 25-30 m and lives to over 300 years. It grows slowly, so the garden will grow to a maximum of 10 meters. The crown is deep, narrowly conical in young trees, irregular in older trees. Borka is smooth and dark gray in young trees, longitudinally cracked in older trees, rough, scaly and thick.
The needles are spirally arranged, radially spaced, perpendicular to the shoots, untwisted at the base, round or slightly flattened. They are dark green to silver-gray-green (Glauca variant).
Requirements: Requires a damp, slightly acidic and well permeable soil, moderately rich in nutrients.
It prefers warmer conditions, it does not tolerate drafts.
Location slightly shaded, but can withstand direct sun.
