Abies concolor 'Candicans' ('Argentea') - Frosted Fir

High mountain tree, native to North America. Evergreen, coniferous, fast-growing (especially young trees), growing up to 60 m and surviving for over 300 years. In gardens, of course, this growth is not left.
 The needles are 2.5 to 6 cm long with a width of about 2 mm, blue-green on both sides. The color of the tree is blue-gray, older branches with a greenish tinge. The cones are up to 15 cm long and 4 to 4.5 cm wide and upright. The color is green - purple, mature are brown - gray
 The bark is light gray and remains smooth for a long time.
 
Claims:
 Very adaptable fir, tolerates various climatic, urban (however, it does not tolerate air pollution and is one of the most vulnerable firs of sulfur dioxide).
 It is suitable for almost any permeable soil, preferably moist but never wet. It should be rich in nutrients, acidic or neutral. But it can withstand even slightly alkaline.
 Position in the sun or in the mild shade.
